Hello there all you future prize-winning exhibitors! Want to have some practice? Then bring your roses to the May 2nd meeting because we are going to have a Little-Rose Show that night in preparation for our own rose show on June 3rd. And what if some of you just want to bring in your roses for purposes of identification? Well, that’s okay too! Bring ‘em in! An ARS horticulture judge, Fran Kaelke (who is also the new President of the Pacific Rose Society), will be on hand to educate us about the positive and negative aspects of our entries and what judges look for in prize-winning roses. In addition, a gift certificate from Parkview Nursery will be awarded that night to the Best of Show.
Plan on attending this meeting and taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn how to identify and exhibit roses. Make sure you bring your roses to the meeting place, place them in a vase (which we will provide for you), and have your tag properly filled out and attached to your entry, no later than 7:15 P.M. Judging will begin immediately thereafter.
